International Friendship Series: Day Four

Day Four of the International Friendship Series saw another rain affected schedule as games were pushed back to a 2:30pm start. With the male round -obin complete, the girls took to the diamond for the majority of the afternoon to achieve a result before any more rain could fall on the diamond. Boys rescheduling meant 8:30pm first round of finals.

The boys games played through testing conditions as rain threatened to come down heavily at many points, but they played through to finish the three first round of finals games. In a battle of the top two sides all week, Aussie Green took care of the NZ Emerging Sox 5 – 0, while Aussie Gold and Western Civil also had wins.

Game 30 proved to be a close encounter with NSW and the Emerging Sox separated only by one run at the close of the game. Some fantastic batting from both teams with a 6 -5 result going the way of NSW. Batting from Tash Young (NSW) and Emma Grant (NSW) was solid.
