Home Run Heroes Pathway

If you do not find an answer to your question in the below information please email hrh@softball.org.au and we will get back to you within 48 hours.

Home Run Heroes programs can be moulded to suit the relevant age groups by the coach/leader making changes to the activities and game format delivered.

For 5 to 7 year olds – it is recommended that suitable warm up activities are delivered for 15 minutes each session before playing modified games of T-Ball.

For those 7 years and above, it is recommended that suitable warm up activities are delivered for 15 minutes each session before playing a modified, slowpitch format of softball.

The key difference is the use of the tee for batting for younger groups, eliminating the requirement for pitching. This ensures maximum fun and learning opportunities for all.

The age groups for Home Run Heroes are a guide, however the program is designed for children aged 5 to 12.

It is expected that, where possible, groups will split into similar aged groupings to ensure maximum enjoyment.

The cost of Home Run Heroes will vary from venue to venue. The RRP price is between $40 – $80 per program, with the optional participant packs to be purchased if desired from the online shop.

Home Run Heroes is delivered at multiple venues across Australia and is delivered all year round, although typically there are more programs delivered from August to December leading in to the traditional summer softball season. To find your closest program visit the Program Finder

Not at this stage, Home Run Heroes is designed to be fun and safe for boys and girls to enjoy together.

For any Home Run Heroes program an adult needs to be present for your child for the duration of the session. We love all parents/guardians to assist at Home Run Heroes so why not get involved in your child’s group.

Unfortunately, the weather is out of our control however all efforts will be made to reduce the number of cancelled sessions. Some programs may be able to add make-up sessions however this is at the discretion of the program leader.
