Softball Australia is proud to announce Dr Clare Humberstone as the new National Pathways Manager.

Currently employed at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) as the Senior Performance Pathways Scientist, Clare has been working with many Australian NSOs in developing and delivering Sporting Pathways. In her sixteen years at the AIS Clare worked in-depth on junior pathways within the Olympic combat sports and during her career she has completed a PhD in Sport Science and published many science journals.

Softball Australia CEO, Rosie Williams OBE expressed her gratitude to all who were involved in the appointment, saying "We have been through a detailed five-stage process and talked with a number of excellent candidates. Clare's depth of experience in the science of sport, her exposure to many sports and pathways through her time at the AIS, and her ability to turn complex concepts into everyday action makes her the standout candidate."

Based in the ACT, Clare has two young children with her husband Dan, enjoys mountain biking and playing team sport.
