Softball Australia are pleased to announce Bron Parry will join Softball Australia as National Operations Manager, a newly created role crucial to the success of One Softball and shared services.

Reporting to the CEO of Softball Australia, this role under the One Softball governance structure, will be primarily responsible for business planning, state and federal grant applications, management of shared services, governance and policies, funding, programs, information technology and volunteer strategies.

This is a senior role that will sit on the new executive team of Softball Australia and will manage a team of State Operations Managers across the country from the Member States that are within the scope of One Softball.

Parry’s appointment sees her step down as President of the Softball Victoria Board, effective immediately, and will commence her new role mid-April.

Along with her extensive experience in softball, both coaching and playing, Parry has also worked alongside organisations such as the International Cricket Council, Sports Medicine Australia, Melbourne Commonwealth Games, Deakin University and recently with Commonwealth Games Australia.

Through her own project management business, Parry has serviced a clients such as Cricket Australia, Football Federation Australia, Visit Victoria, Basketball Australia, Gymnastics Australia, Bowls Australia and Women Sport Australia.

Parry is also Chair of the Nominations Committee for Tennis Victoria and facilitator of Women Sport Australia mentoring program.

“Bron’s experience in project management with a number of high-profile organisations and at a governance level of our own sport is really going to help us instil best practices across the states who have agreed to be involved in One Softball.

“We can’t wait to start putting the stepping stones in place for how we will operate under a one-management model with Bron leading the way.

The National Operations Manager is also expected to collaborate with each State to ensure all Governance processes are up to date and that all Government grants are managed efficiently and effectively.

The role will also act as Integration Lead for the One Softball project ensuring that all States and Territories processes are standardised, synchronised, and incorporated in Softball Australia.
