Every effort is made to keep the below information updated, but there may be instances where information is inaccurate due to late and unforeseen changes. Programs for other events will also be added periodically as they are completed.

Softball Queensland respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians, the Quandamooka People, their unique connection to land and water, and their elders past, present, and emerging. I would also like to acknowledge and welcome other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who may be attending this event.

With immense pride and anticipation, we extend a warm welcome to individuals from across Queensland and interstate for the Laing Harrow Shield. At Softball Queensland, we take great pride in being the host of this prestigious national event. It is an occasion that brings together talent, passion, and the spirit of competition among the best players in the Under 23 age group for men.

The softball diamonds at Redlands are not just fields of play; they are canvases upon which stories of athleticism, teamwork, and camaraderie unfold. We are excited to witness the unfolding of the next chapter of international talent, as players from diverse backgrounds come together to showcase their skills and love for the game. My thanks also to the Redlands Softball Association and its volunteers who will help make these National Championships an enjoyable and rewarding experience for all who attend. It should never be forgotten that without the dedication of these ‘off-diamond’ participants, events such as this wouldn’t happen.

Congratulations to the players on your selection to represent your state team. It is an honor that you have earned, so wear your uniform with pride and represent your state association with dignity. For those of you who have goals of achieving higher representation in the future, participating in these championships is a good starting point to prepare you for what's to come.

A special thank you to all the dedicated staff and volunteers, both from Softball Australia and Softball Queensland, who have invested numerous hours planning and organizing every aspect of this event. Your commitment is unwavering and is the backbone of the seamless experiences that participants and spectators alike are set to enjoy during the competition.

To the numerous local and visiting families and supporters who have come to cheer on the teams, thank you for your involvement: you are helping to ensure the long-term future of our Sport. To all the players, coaches, officials, statisticians, and umpires who will be integral to this event, we extend a sincere welcome. We wish each participant the very best, and as you step onto the diamonds, may your dreams be realized.

In the spirit of fair play, sportsmanship, and shared love for softball, good luck to everyone, and may the 2025 Laing Harrow Shield be a memorable testament to the beauty of our beloved sport.
