New Umpire Merchandise
The National Umpiring Committee is delighted to advise that there is now a range of merchandise available for purchase. Umpires will have the option to purchase the following items:

On-Diamond Umpire Caps
The Softball Australia On-Diamond Umpire Caps will be available for purchase in early May 2026. Pricing details will be updated closer to the ordering period.
On-diamond caps with a logo are to be worn by all accredited Softball Australia umpires on both plate and base. Non-logo caps are available for use in state and association uniforms where applicable, especially for non-accredited umpires.
It is a Richardson brand available in three styles: Fitted, R-Flex and Adjustable, with three peak-length options: 2”, 2 ½”, 2 ¾”.
Information about the caps
The cap offers versatility for Base and Plate Umpires. Made of Richardson SURGE fabric with R-ACTIVE tech, combing the traditional look of wool surge with performance features to help keep you cool, dry, and comfortable while you call the game. Available in fitted, flex or strap back options.
