Softball Australia’s Pathway to Performance Plan incorporates state-based Player and Coach Development clinics. For players, the Clinics feature a fun-filled two-day training camp, with the exciting opportunity to train and play alongside Aussie Steelers and Aussie Spirit players, whilst being coached by National Team coaches. 

The Coach Development clinic feature hands-on teaching from Australian National Team Coaches, with a focus on pitching and hitting. Coaches are also given the opportunity to meet other coaches from around Australia to share their knowledge.

Player Development Clinics (limited to 50 athletes per clinic):

• Eligible Date of Birth Years: 2013-2010
• Two-day clinic
  • Skill building sessions
  • Drills and fun activities
  • Camp T-Shirt included
• Expert Coaches - National Team Coaches to lead training and development sessions.
• Player Mentoring – National Team players will be actively involved
  • Mentoring, Inspiring and sharing insights from their own softball journey
• Skill Development – focusing on honing fundamental skills
  • Skills such as hitting, pitching, base running and fielding, elevating participant’s game to the next level
• Fun and Inclusive Atmosphere – Supportive and Inclusive environment
  • Fostering camaraderie among players and coaches alike

Cost: $350 per player

Coach Development Clinics (limited to 20 coaches per clinic) - 2 x 3hr sessions: 

For coaches who work with players aged 12 to 18 at a club/association/state level

• 2 x 3hr dedicated coach development clinics delivered by National Team Coaches

• Separate sessions focusing on pitching and hitting
• Opportunities for coaches to apply their learnings in practical coaching sessions with participants under the guidance of National Team coaches
• Networking opportunities – promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration

Cost: $200 per coach
