Softball Australia is proud to announce the national men’s team, the Aussie Steelers, who will represent Australia at the 2025 WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup in Prince Albert, Canada from 8–14 July.

The reigning World Champions will head into this year’s tournament with their sights firmly set on defending the title they claimed in 2022, bringing with them a mix of championship-winning experience and emerging talent ready to shine on the world stage.

National Men’s Head Coach, Mike Titheradge expressed confidence in the selected squad, noting the depth, balance, and determination within the team.

“The selected team combines experienced World Champions and a solid blend of youth with exciting talent who will all come together for the Aussie Steelers 2025 WBSC World Cup campaign,” said Titheradge.

“No less than nine players return from our victorious 2022 WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup campaign who all bring invaluable leadership and proven international experience, along with several members from previous Under 18 & Under 23 World Championship-winning teams. This provides the team with a solid balance of both youth and experience which will be vital in our quest to claim back-to-back World Cup victories.”

The nine returning champions include Jack Besgrove, Marshall Kronk, Josh McGovern, James Todhunter, Matthew Harrow, Riley James, Scott Patterson, Callum Beashel, and Jack Burt.

Making their World Cup debut for the Steelers are Jeremy Garland, Ryan King, Ethan Field, Kynan Molander, Mathew Beckett, Jarrod Bradbury, and Matthew Wickham—a group Coach Titheradge describes as “exciting young talent with the hunger and drive to make their mark on the international stage.”

The Aussie Steelers will head to Canada focused on defending their title and continuing to showcase their incredible skills in the green and gold on the international stage.
