Porter & Parnaby aim to keep perfect record

Published Thu 07 Oct 2021

Stacey Porter and Kaia Parnaby aim to keep their perfect record intact in the Japan Softball League's Division 2 for SG Holdings, as Ellen Roberts gets a chance to bounce back with Minamo Ogaki.

In previous years, SG Holdings would be battling for promotion into Division 1, however, in 2022 their place is secure in the Japan Softball League's all-new JD League, a top-line championship with 16 teams split into East and West divisions where the leader from East and West will meet at season's end for the title.

Parnaby and Porter being the competitors they are will no doubt be aiming to still finish the year on a high by remaining undefeated during their time in Division 2.

In the penultimate week of Division 2, SG Holdings will pay three games beginning this Friday against Daiwa Electric, Saturday against YKK and concluding the weekend on Sunday against Tokai Rika.

Roberts and Minamo Ogaki will also play in the inaugural JD League next season, but still have plenty to play for this coming weekend.

They too have three games across the weekend and will look to build confidence after a disappointing previous week.
