Softball Australia is pleased to announce a new partnership with Packer Leather, bringing together two proud Australian organisations in support of the sport's continued growth and the delivery of the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Finals 2027.

The partnership will see City of Moreton Bay-based Packer Leather join Softball Australia ahead of April’s World Cup Finals, to be held in Redcliffe, Queensland, reinforcing a shared commitment to showcasing Australian excellence on the global stage.

Sarah Loh, Chief Executive Officer of Softball Australia, said the organisation was delighted to welcome Packer Leather as a Supporting Partner.

"Partnerships like this are important not just for the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Finals 2027, but for the ongoing growth of our sport,” said Loh.

"Packer Leather is a respected Australian business, locally-owned and supplying across Australia and around the world. With a strong reputation for quality and craftsmanship, we’re proud to have their support as we showcase our sport and the City of Moreton Bay, on the global stage."

The partnership provides an opportunity to highlight Australian industry alongside one of the nation's most significant international sporting events, while creating meaningful connections between sport, business and community.

Packer Leather Chairman Lindsay Packer said the business was pleased to support Softball Australia while giving back to the community.

"We’re so excited to partner with Softball Australia,” he said. “The WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Finals 2027 will be a truly global event and it’s great to have it in our own backyard.

"Packer Leather has been part of the City of Moreton Bay for 55 years, and before that 80 years at Chermside. I’m the fourth generation of Packers to work for the company, and my kids and grandkids are involved too - that’s six generations of Packers who have worked for the business.

“The City of Moreton Bay has been great to our family and business since the early 1970s. This is a great opportunity for us to give back to our community and support a world-class event.

“We're proud to support Softball Australia and showcase the quality, craftsmanship and capability of Australian manufacturing to an international audience. We look forward to welcoming the world to our region and celebrating Australian excellence both on and off the field.”
