Dates and Venues Announced for 2024 National Championships and Under-14 Regional Tournament

Published Thu 23 Feb 2023

To our Softball Australia members and community,

Please see the below dates & venues for the Softball Australia National Championships for 2023/24.

In determining the dates we have consulted with senior leadership across member states and territories and have taken on feedback from players, coaches, and officials from the 2022/23 National Championships. The 2024 National Championships host states and venues were committed to in 2021 to venues who had lost events due to COVID.

We have tried - where possible - to make appropriate changes, with highlights including: moving tournaments to six days from five, which we hope will improve the balance between the number of games per day and the costs associated with competing. The other major change is that the calendar has been structured with clear breaks between events, in order to ensure players and officials have the appropriate time to rest when taking part in multiple events.

The 2024 Under-14 Regional Tournament is to be played over the Australia Day weekend and features a grading stage to ensure that teams are placed into appropriate ability pools, enabling a fair and fun tournament for all.
