Off the back of Thursday’s pitching duel in Fukushima against Italy where Kaia Parnaby and Ellen Roberts secured a 1-0 shutout to keep the Aussie Spirit’s medal hopes alive, attention now turns to a Canadian outfit boasting the most Olympic experience of all six teams.

Canada’s roster includes Lauren Regula (Athens 2004, Beijing 2008), Kaleigh Rafter (Beijing 2008), Jenn Salling (Beijing 2008) and Danielle Lawrie (Beijing 2008) compared to Australia’s lone player with previous Olympic experience in Stacey Porter (04, 08).

The weight of experience on the world’s biggest stage will certainly play into the Canadian’s hands, however, with all teams having played twice in front of empty stands, the nerves should have well and truly settled.
