Softball Australia Appoints Adam Rindfleish as Head Coach of the Aussie Steelers

Softball Australia is proud to announce the appointment of Adam Rindfleish as the new Head Coach of the Australian Open Men’s Softball Team – the Aussie Steelers.
Adam brings an exceptional track record of success and leadership to the role, aligning perfectly with Softball Australia’s vision to inspire heroes on the world stage.
Across over three decades in softball as a player, coach, and administrator, Adam has contributed to eight World Championship campaigns, securing three World Titles and a silver medal. Most recently, he served as Assistant Coach for the Aussie Steelers at the 2025 World Cup, and Head Coach for the U18 Men’s Team in the 2025 New Zealand Test Series. His experience spans national and state programs, where he has led teams to multiple national titles and mentored athletes through high-performance pathways.
Adam’s commitment to athlete development, strategic game planning, and fostering a positive team culture will be instrumental as the Steelers aim to capture another World Cup title in four years at the 2029 WBSC Men’s World Cup.
“I’m honoured to lead the Steelers program and work with Australia’s best athletes to achieve sustained success on the global stage,” said Adam. “Our focus will be on high-performance excellence, athlete wellbeing, and continuing the proud tradition of Australian men’s softball.”

The appointment is part of Softball Australia’s Perform pillar under its five-year strategic plan, which prioritises world-class systems, integrity, and athlete development. Adam will oversee the Steelers’ high-performance program, including individual athlete development plans, coaching staff management, and preparation for international competition.
