Day 2 Schedule:

Game 10: NSW v QLD 10:00AM ACDT

NSW defeated Queensland 8-5

A six-run fifth inning from NSW flipped the script after Queensland put up four runs in the first three innings. Sophie O'Connor closed the door on Queensland, pitching the final two innings.

Game 11: ETB (East Texas Baptist University) v WA 10:00AM ACDT

East Texas Baptist defeated WA 6-3

The East Texans came back from a two-run deficit, posting five runs in the sixth inning. Toni Tamborello shut the West Australians out in the top of the seventh.

ACT’s Caitlin McCreedy and Sophie Lawrence combine for 7RBI, from three hits in a monster 20 run start to their second day of play. Western Australia got on the board in the second, scoring four, but a seven-run reply and an 11-run follow-up from the ACT brought in the third inning mercy rule to end the game early.

Game 13: NSW v SA 12:30PM ACDT

South Australia have come back from a four-run deficit to hand New South Wales their first loss of the tournament. NSW kept SA from scoring until the fifth, but once the host state got started, they were hard to stop. Coming into the bottom of the seventh with five runs to chase, NSW put up a fight and scored twice in the seventh, but SA held firm.

Game 14: ETB (East Texas Baptist University) v QLD 3:00PM ACDT

East Texas Baptist broke through the Queensland resistance in the bottom of the third to score nine runs, backing it up with a scoreless top of the fourth to take their third win of the tournament.

Game 15: WA v SA 3:00PM ACDT

South Australia have hung on in a thrilling nine-inning game again Western Australia. WA were trailing four runs to two as they came out to bat in the bottom of the seventh, and managed to work their way back level to take the game to an eighth inning.

Both teams scored one run each to go around once more, when SA managed to score twice, while WA managed just the single in response. A great fight-back from WA that will spur them on to bigger results in the coming days.

Game 16: VIC v NSW 5:30PM ACDT

New South Wales move to a 4-1 record to hold top stop in the standings after a tight affair against Victoria. Most of the action came after the start of the fifth inning. NSW's Chelsea Bennett allowed only two runs from five hits and took eight strike-outs from the 7.0 stint in the center.

South Australia move level with Queensland with a convincing win over the ACT. SA shared the love through the batting roster with only three from the lineup not scoring a run.

Game 18: VIC v QLD 8:00PM ACDT

Queensland's win took them to a tournament leading 51 runs for, as they sit in second behind NSW who have a game-in-hand. Ella Covill-Marter and Zali Summers combined to take six strike-outs and restrict Victoria to just two runs.
