NSW Firestars are into the Grand Final after a gruelling 2.5 hour Game 31 against the SA Starz.

The Starz overcame an early scare in the fifth to contain NSW to six runs and stay in the game, scoring three in the top of the sixth to make it 6-4. The Firestars replied with a five-run haul in the bottom of the sixth, with who else but Stacey Porter to end the game with a hit to right field.

QLD bring the Heat and fire 12 past WA Flames in Game 32 to advance to the semi-final playoff.

Sandra Holden pitched a four-inning no-hitter for the Heat while Rhiannon Kemp and Jade Wall combined for 6RBI from 3ABs.

QLD Heat roll their hot form into the semi-final to keep the SA Starz run-less and book a place in the Grand Final against NSW Firestars.

It was always going to be a tough ask for the Starz to back up from the 2.5 hour opening game of the day against NSW. A fast start for the Heat with two runs in the first inning gave the Starz a game to chase, but the momentum was well and truly with the Heat in this one.

New South Wales Firestars are the winners of the 2023 Open Women's National Championships here on Kaurna Country, West Beach, South Australia.

Kaia Parnaby pitched the full game, holding QLD Heat to just one hit and no runs.

Taylah Tsitsikronis hit a highlight homer over left-field to empty the bases and make it 6-0 by the end of the second.
