Aussie Spirit Development Team Announced for Canada Cup

Published Tue 10 May 2022

Softball Australia is pleased to announce the athletes selected to the Aussie Spirit Development team that will travel to the Canada Cup, alongside the Travelodge Aussie Spirit and Australian Under 18 teams.

Athletes in the Aussie Spirit Development Team have been chosen from both the Aussie Spirit and Aussie Spirit Development Squads announced yesterday.

Development Team members will experience the preparation required of international athletes, while providing important support to the Travelodge Aussie Spirit team on tour.

Softball Australia National Pathway Coordinator Brooke Wilkins said, “The Aussie Spirit Development team plays a key role in our high-performance pathway. Exposing our athletes to international travel and elite-level competition assists in the transition from underage representative competition to international softball.

“These players have also demonstrated in either the National Championships here, or in their respective competition overseas, that they are ready to compete at international level, and we’re looking forward to seeing what these players can bring to the international stage.”
