An incredible 18 Australians competing in the Men's 2023 ISC World Softball Tournament

Published Mon 14 Aug 2023

The Men's 2023 ISC Softball World Tournament which started early this morning (AEST) in Denmark, Wisconsin, features eighteen members of Australia's men's softball program, including a host of Australia's World Cup winning Steelers players.

Highlighted by first-ranked pitcher Jack Besgrove and tenth-ranked hitter Nick Shailes, the tournament is the leading annual competition globally for men's softball, which runs until early Sunday morning, Australian time, on the 20th of August. Top-10 Player rankings were recently released by the ISC Congress which recognised both Besgrove's and Shailes' talents.

Besgrove will be fronting up for the New York Gremlins alongside Australian veterans Andrew Kirkpatrick and Zenon Winters, while Shailes is part of an Steelers-heavy roster for the Hill United Chiefs.

The Chiefs boast Adam Folkard, Scott Patterson and Josh McGovern, while Marshall Kronk represents the Niagara Stompers. Joshua White, Jay Selu and Riley James are with the Wander Springs Chippers, and Matthew Harrow will be part of the Circle Tap Dukes.

In the Under 21 ISC Tournament, three Australians made the All Tournament Team: Alex Duncalfe, Corie List and Nick Gehrmann.
