U14 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Background
The U14 National Championships are open to male and female teams (separate divisions) of all skill levels, allowing teams from across Australia to come together and compete. In recent years, this Championship has been paired with the open age national championship, providing aspiration to junior athletes.
The Championship aims to provide athletes, coaches, umpires and statisticians with an opportunity to begin their journey in the national pathway and further develop their skills.
Point of Interest
The Championship was first held in in 2011 at Rockhampton on Queensland’s Capricorn Coast.
Today
In 2021, the U14 National Championships will be held at Hawker in the ACT, from 14-18 April.
The 2020 events saw 18 teams compete, with 10 female teams making the trip to Mirrabooka in WA and 8 male teams taking to Blacktown in NSW. The increased competition allows this event to be a platform of development for future stars.
