Aussies Win Bronze at Worlds

Congratulations to the Aussie Spirit who have won Bronze at the ISF XIII Women's World Championship!! After trailing 2-0, a spirited fight back against Japan in the 7th innings saw the Aussie bases loaded, but strong Japanese defence held firm for the win.
Japan went on to win the World Championship by 2 runs to 1 in a 10 innings match against USA.

Highlights: Hits to Porter, Weaver, Forkin and Bowering. Vanessa Stokes pitched 2 innings for 4 hits, 1 run and 1 strikeout; Zara Mee pitched 0.2 innings for 1 strikeout; Kaia Parnaby pitched 4.1 innings for 5 hits, 1 run and 4 strikeouts.

Playoff 2 Aussie Spirit 3 defeated Canada 1
Highlights: Huge homeruns to Stacey Porter in the 1st and 7th innings. 2 hits each to Godfrey, Forkin and White. Kaia Parnaby pitched 3.1 innings for 1 hit, 1 run and 3 strikeouts; Aimee Murch piched 1.2 innings for 2 hits; Vanessa Stokes pitched 2 innings for 1 hit and 1 strikeout.
Playoff 1 Aussie Spirit 5 defeated China 4 in 8 innings tie breaker.
Highlights: Jodie Bowering hits a homerun in the 5th, Brenda De Blaes 3 hits. Kaia Parnaby pitched 3 innings for 4 hits, 1 run and 5 strikeouts.
