Aussie Spirit start their World Championship campaign

The Aussie Spirit will depart home soil tomorrow for a month long tour of the USA and Canada, with their final stop being the 2012 ISF XIII Women’s World Championship.
The team will complete a two day training camp at Oklahoma University, including scrimmage games against the Netherlands from 24-27 June.
Following on from the camp, Australia will play against Brazil in their first match of the World Cup of Softball VII at the ASA Hall of Fame Complex in Oklahoma City on 28 June.
The schedule for the Aussie Spirit is as follows:
- AIS Training Camp, Oklahoma University 24-26 June
- World Cup of Softball VII, Oklahoma 27 June- 2 July
- Canadian Open Fastpitch Championships, Vancouver 4-9 July
- ISF XIII World Championships, Yukon 13-22 July.

We are excited to finally all come together as a complete team. We look forward to our pre tour build up leading in to the World Championships. I have been happy how we have prepared mentally and physically and the players are keen to put our preparation to the test in games.
