Umpire news: 2012 International Youth Cup

The 2012 International Youth Cup will be held at Blacktown International Sportspark from 2-6 July 2012.
Softball Australia is seeking expressions of interest for the following positions:
- Tournament Chief Umpire
- Presenters x 2 to conduct the Level 3-4 Participants' Course
- Assessors 2-3 (number of assessors is dependent upon the size of the umpiring crew)
- Tournament umpires
All applications need to be endorsed by your State Director and returned to Debbie Grove ([email protected]) by Sunday 15 April 2012.
Level 3-4
2 Day Training Course
A Level 3-4 training course will be conducted prior to the tournament.
The aim of this course is to make it possible for umpires (from states that are unable to run or assess a Level 3-4 Training Course in their own state) to have the opportunity to be assessed for accreditation during the tournament. Any umpires wishing to seek assessment at the tournament must contact their State Director of Umpiring and ensure that they have the correct Softball Australia Theory Mark in the 2012 Rules Exam.
Any umpires who are interested in attending this training course should contact their SDU with their expression of interest and completed application form for endorsement.
International Youth Cup
Any Level 3 and 4 umpires who are interested in officiating at this tournament should contact their SDU with their expression of interest and completed application form for endorsement.
IYC Apparel - tracksuit/polo and undershirt
Umpires attending the Level 3-4 Training Course or who are officiating at the IYC have the opportunity to purchase the IYC Apparel. The complete set of apparel, consisting of a tracksuit, polo shirt and undershirt will cost $180.
