Activity of the Month is an exciting new segment in Homeplate News that will feature a game, skill, exercise or drill from the Softball Batter Up (SBU) website which is a FREE resource that makes playing, teaching and coaching softball easy! Triangle Tag is this month’s Activity of the Month that we encourage you to try at your club.
Whether you are a parent, teacher or coach, the SBU program can help you teach kids the fundamental motor skills that are used in softball and many other sports. Triangle Tag is a fun way for kids to warm up and get mobile, improve their agility, experience team building and get them familiar with the skill of tagging a runner in a game. You could make it more specific by having the tagger use a glove and ball to make the tag!!
Give this game a go and learn about 65 activities on the website that can be used to develop softball skills. Be sure to let us know what you think. What’s your favourite softball game? We’d love to hear from you.
To watch this video and more, you will need to log in to the website, then click on “Resources” and choose the video you want to watch.
