Level 2 Umpire Program

The National Umpiring Committee is pleased to announce that the Softball Australia Limited (SAL) Level 2 Umpire Program and accompanying material has now been accredited by the Australian Sports Commissions’ National Officiating Accreditation Scheme (NOAS). Information and materials are available below.

The SAL Level 2 Umpire Program builds upon the SAL Level 1 Introductory Umpire Program and is designed for Level 1 Umpires who wish to continue further with the formal accreditation system.

The SAL Level 2 Umpire Program encompasses the Level 2 Umpire Participants Manual and the Level 2 Development Umpire Clinic which is State run.

The Level 2 Umpire Program encompasses areas such as: consistent interpretations of rules, umpire responsibilities, signals and mechanics, duty of care and responsibility for all involved: players, coaches, administrators, fellow umpires and spectators.
