2013 Arthur Allsopp Shield winners, Qld
Commencing in 2011, the U17 program is the first stage of the Australian National elite program. The squad is selected based on performances at the Australian U17 Boy's Championship, Arthur Allsopp Shield. Softball Australia enters the selected squad into the International Youth Cup held at Blacktown International Sportspark, Sydney in July each year. The events expose Australia’s elite athletes to a highly competitive international competition.
The squad is also provided with training and development opportunities through strength and conditioning programs, Australian development camps and state-based training camps throughout the year where athletes have the opportunity to work with some of Australia’s most experienced Softball identities.
