Awards of Excellence

The Softball Australia Awards of Excellence recognise players, administrators and officials who have made outstanding contributions to softball in Australia during the previous 12 months.

In 1995 the Vivienne Triplett Award was introduced to recognise outstanding contributions to umpiring. This Award was incorporated into the Softball Australia Awards of Excellence when they were introduced in 2002.

The Softball Australia Awards of Excellence categories are:

  • Junior Male Athlete of the Year
  • Junior Female Athlete of the Year
  • Administrator of the Year
  • Statistician of the Year
  • Local Association of the Year
  • Indigenous Athlete of the Year
  • Coach of the Year
  • Male Athlete of the Year
  • Female Athlete of the Year
  • Spirit Award
  • Vivienne Triplett Umpire of the Year Award

Softball supporters are encouraged to review the selection criteria and process for awarding the Softball Australia Awards of Excellence in the Member Recognition Policy and to nominate a member who they believe has made an outstanding contribution to softball in Australia.
