WA members of the Aussie Steelers helped to open the new season for the Dale Districts Softball Association.

Australian Men's players Aaron Cockman, Andrew Havercroft (Reserve), Adam Humble, Nathan Jones and Team Manager Mike Titheradge went to Langford Sports Centre in Thornlie, WA, to speak with the Dale Districts juniors and officially open their season.

Adam Humble made the ceremonial first pitch of the season to young catcher Ben Pyke and the parents and members in attendance had nothing but praise for the members of the Aussie Steelers team.

In Sydney earlier this year, the Aussie Steelers had a camp immediately following the Open Men's Nationals, where the final team was announced. During the camp, Softball NSW had a t-ball competition and the Aussie Steelers players were more than happy to sign autographs for the junior players and have their photos taken.

The Aussie Steelers depart for Canada in less than two months time to compete in the ISF Men's World Championship. The Aussie Steelers are aiming for gold, after winning the bronze medal at the 2004 ISF Men's World Championship in NZ.
